Professor Hiroshi Harada received awards from Wi-SUN Alliance

Professor Hiroshi Harada received the following awards from the Wi-SUN Alliance for the development and standardization of the Wi-SUN FAN 1.1 and Wi-SUN HAN 2.0 Router-IoT as a representative of Kyoto University and National Institute of Information and Communications technology (NICT).

Wi-SUN HAN 2.0 Route IoT will be used for a wireless communication method of joint meter reading such as gas and water meters using electricity meter’s network in next-generation smart meters in Japan, and Wi-SUN FAN 1.1 will be used for a new communication method between electricity meters in next-generation smart meters, and will be adopted by Japanese power companies.
